There is also some biasness in Australia depending on which State you are planning to settle down in. You will be competing with other candidates from a similar league: Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, Stanford. if you are from a top Australian university. In certain countries especially Asia, where the prestige of the university is highly valued, you might only be considered for internship/scholarship etc. It doesn't mean you cannot apply to those companies if you are from another university, you can but you get better access to the recruiters if you are a student from that university. Depending on your career path, some companies only go to certain universities (on campus recruitment). A top university in Australia may or may not be considered a top university in Brazil (it really depends on how much the local recruiters know about Australian universities). For example: if you plan to return back to Brazil, reach out to their Alumni and assess the support network. In addition to the matters specific to your course and university of choice, do consider about where do you plan to settle down and start your career.
